  • What is the diving season in Goa?
The diving season in Goa lasts from October till the end of April, depending on the weather. During off-season (May-September) due to weather conditions, diving is not possible in the sea in our area.
  • How are the diving conditions and visibility in Goa?
In Goa our normal location is Palolem Beach where it is easy to dive, but you have to be aware of the fact that the visibility can be limited or sometimes very poor (1-2 meters) due to silty sea beds and the several rivers in the area. Because of these, Goa is a good destination for trying scuba diving for the first time, to take a certification course or to refresh your skills after a longer inactive period, but probably less attractive for certified and experienced divers or snorkelers. But no worries, we can offer day trips to Netrani Island (Karnataka) as well, where the visibility is great and the marine life is rich.
  • What are the details of the Try Scuba Diving Program in Palolem?
The program includes a detailed briefing, a shallow water skill practice and a 30 minutes underwater tour. The whole activity takes about 3 - 4 hours to complete (depending on the number of guests). The start time depends on the tides so we can confirm it according to your required date but it is usually around 9 am. We dive on the 1 guest - 1 instructor basis so this way it is completely safe and swimming is not a requirement. This means we will dive in rounds with you and while one person dives, the next one completes the initial training. We do not use a boat for this program, we complete the entire training and dive right from the beach. The package also includes underwater photos and a digital, personalized recognition card. The program requires pre-booking , same day booking cannot work.
  • What are the details of the day trips to Netrani Island (Karnataka)?
We can also make it possible for you to go and try the real beauty of Netrani Island that lies in Karnataka State, off Murudeshwar town. In fact this is the place that we can offer for already certified, experienced divers as well as snorkelers. It obviously requires some effort to get there but trust us, that is fantastic with up to 20 meters visibility and all sorts of marine life. From the area of Palolem it can be done as a day trip (not from further north) with a 5:30 am start and an approx. 5 pm arrival back. The trip includes a 2 hours car ride to Murudeshwar where you will depart the boat for a 1 hour trip to the island. The car, unless you have your own vehicle, means a taxi. We can arrange one for you if you require. As the transportation between Goa and Murudeshwar is not included in the diving/snorkeling charges and will be shared among the passengers, we recommend to book ahead and/or keep it a bit flexible so we might be able to get more guests for the same day.
  • How can I book?
We are a small dive center with limited manpower and equipment so the daily program and schedule is dictated by the needs of the guests booking earlier and also by logistics. We can only take limited number of guests per day. So in either case we strongly recommend you to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You can do it trough many communication channels that you find in the Contact Us section. We happily take walk-in guests as well, provided there are available slots but same day booking unfortunately rarely works. For the reasons mentioned above we require 50% advance payment by bank transfer or Google Pay before confirmation of the booking. Please also check our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
  • What should I wear and bring?
We provide diving suit. Just bring or wear something comfortable, like swimsuit, a pair of shorts, t-shirt. You can change at our facility. Glasses have no space under the diving mask, if you wear a pair, you will have to remove it but contact lenses are fine. We recommend to have sun screen and a towel with you, too.
  • Is it safe to dive with you?
We are a Dive Center registered by SSI (Scuba Schools International), one of the world's leading international dive organizations. All the programs we offer are designed and controlled by SSI and due to the more than 50 years of on field and scientific experience behind, they are absolutely safe. You just have to follow a few simple rules that you will learn and practice before any in-water activity. Our staff is also highly trained and experienced and hold all the necessary certification as dive professionals. We are also all trained in life saving and CPR and the dive center is equipped with a first aid kit and emergency Oxygen for the unlikely event that something goes wrong. In order to maximize safety, although the standards do not require it, during a Try Scuba Diving session we dive 1 on 1 which means our guest divers will have their own, individual professional guide who looks after them and helps with anything may arise during the dive.
  • What are the restrictions on flying after diving?
While diving, the increase in pressure underwater causes our bodies to absorb Nitrogen from the air we breath from the tank. The excess Nitrogen leaves our body slowly and safely after diving but as an added precaution we do not expose ourselves to low pressure (at altitude or in an airplane) because this may increase the process of eliminating the residual nitrogen which can lead to causing pain and discomfort. Therefore we do not fly for at least 12 hrs after a single dive and 18 hrs after multiple dives.
